Summer Flowers and Surprises

I've been busy reading and studying some new kinds of card making things & working on new creations, some I can't post yet as they are for family members' special days... Coming later. :)

These are some goodies I made in the past couple days though.
Shhh... I think I am safe to show this one. :) My sister & brother-in-law are expecting their first child. It is my first niece or nephew; I am going to be Aunt Beka or something :)!!!! I made this card and wrote a little note to my niece or nephew to just say that I love him/her. I am mailing it to my sister this week to surprise her. I think I will just keep doing this and maybe she'll save them for the little one to have someday from their crazy aunt. :)

A Busy Spring

It has been a crazy busy spring for my family & I! I am sorry I haven't kept up with posting here. I've been trying to keep afloat with family, teaching two grades, graduate school, and many other things.

I have been creating things though and wanted to share some samples. More of my recent work were gifts for people or cards for the special ones in my life. I am looking forward to the summer months when I can learn some new techniques, try out new ideas, and create lots of new goodies! Check back again soon as I hope to have new cards and ideas posted here and for sale very, very soon!
a simple thank you card I made for a volunteer at our school

I found a photo of a similar card and tried to figure it out for my hubby's Fathers' Day card.

I made gift bags for all my kids- these were the tags I made using my new-t0-me Big Shot die cutter! :)

I loved the greens & browns in this paper and found a pretty ink to coordinate! I am getting quite a collection of scripture stamps now too. This will be going in the store this week. :)

Not a great photo, but this card was for my son who graduated from GTCC this spring!

I made a similar set as a custom order for a teacher, and liked how they looked so I made these for my Kinderkids for their graduation day.

These were for my 1st Graders on "Poofing Day." (Poofing Day is a silly thing I made up early on in the school year. I told them on the last day, I would "poof" them out of my room and onto 2nd grade.)

Loved this retro-looking paper. It made me think of my sister & daughter a little. Made up this set of coordinating note cards.

Happy Spring!

Happy Spring to everyone! I have been keeping plenty busy with card-making, teaching, family, and grad school. I recently purchased a custom made stamp from a fellow etsian and was thrilled with the stamp when it came! My new stamp will appear on the backs of all my cards now to help me put my business name and site out there.

I have been busy making card sets for our church's ladies' retreat and for a church's silent auction back in Bethalto, IL, where I went to high school. Now I am working on a custom order and making new spring sets. I hope to have plenty of new things in time for spring & summer in my store soon.

I hope wherever you are, spring brings you plenty of warm, sunny days, birds singing cheerily, and flowers to bring you beauty! Have a blessed and wonderful spring!

Bright Mums

These I made for my Momma (along with a little surprise for her I can't post here) :). I have another set for sale that I will personalize upon order for the buyer. So pretty... I want a set for me too.

monogrammed note cards

I've been wanting to work on some card sets for a month now, but between family, teaching, tutoring, and grad school there's been no time. In bits and pieces I am working on several sets of monogrammed note cards learning to grab a few minutes to do even small parts when I can. I am making gifts for some people and will use their gift set as the "model" for my photos. You can hop over to my store to see and purchase a set. There will be more photos of the other sets soon I hope. For tonight, here is one finished set.
